One-on-one and small group workshops and tours
Why not join me on one of my realistically priced photography workshops or guided nature walks specially tailored to your needs. I emphasise the importance of ethical photography and would be delighted to interpret the natural world and pass on many years of experience gained whilst working as a protected area manager, nature guide, tour leader and wildlife photographer. My experience encompasses Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and Vanuatu as well as Southern Africa and South America. Song bird setups
Join me for a fun one-on-one or small group experience photographing a variety of song bird species at one of my favourite set up locations. Potential subjects include Spotted Pardalote (pictured, UL), Eastern Spinebill (pictured, UC), Superb Fairywren (pictured, UR), Honeyeaters, Thornbills, Southern EmuWren (LL), Varied Sittella (LC) White-throated Treecreeper, Robins (LR) and many more. This 3-hour session focuses on attracting birds to designated perches with optimal backgrounds making for very pleasant images.

Creatures of the night
Join me on a 1-3 hour nocturnal adventure along a favourite trail. I will show you how I ethically locate and photograph nightbirds and mammals such as the Southern Boobook (pictured UL) Powerful Owl (pictured/seasonal CL) and Tawny Frogmouth (pictured CR). I will introduce you to the gear I use and show you how and why I set up my camera and flash. As well as nightbirds there is a chance of seeing and photographing possums, gliders, flying foxes and more.

Birds in flight
Test your reflexes in a fun one-on-one or small group experience photographing seabirds at one of my local spots. Potential subjects include White-winged Black Tern and Crested Tern (pictured and seasonal) White-bellied Sea-Eagle and many more. A 2-3-hour session which focuses on just a few target species. I will show you how I get the most from my camera and settings and share what I know about capturing fast moving subjects.

Shorebird sessions
With a seasonal shift and warming weather I have commenced fun one-on-one and small group workshops photographing shorebirds at some favourite locations. Potential subjects include Australian Pied Oystercatchers (pictured UL), Red-necked Avocets (UR), Red-capped Plover (CL), Knots, Godwits (BL), Black-winged Stilts (BR) and many more. This 3-hour session focuses on ethical methods to approach and photograph shorebirds behaving naturally with optimal natural backgrounds making for very pleasant images.
